Busy building
Not only the opening track to one of my all-time favorite records (“Lucky Shoe” by September 67), “Busy Building” is an apt metaphor for the last month. I’ve been busy building some exciting, new business relationships with my first state government client and the local franchisees of the world’s largest fine-dining chain. As a result, I’ve been busy building awareness for Idaho’s first Ruth’s Chris Steak House, which opened Feb. 10 to great fanfare in the very busy and brand-new Eighth & Main building, which not only FINALLY fills the dreaded Boise Hole but is now the tallest structure in the state. Plus, just this week I began efforts to help the Idaho Commission for Libraries — a pioneer in the movement to create public makerspaces — build awareness of the new capabilities offered by the 11 participants in its “Make It at the Library” program. An added perk: I was able to work with my friend Alex Couey, who is shooting the photography at the three ICfL workshops around which my efforts revolve.
